Alumni — Your experience can spark the future of a U of A graduate student or postdoc!

The Graduate College is expanding ways for University of Arizona alumni to stay connected and “give back” by sharing their time and professional insight in support of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Involvement can be as simple as responding to an occasional 1–2 question poll, or as interactive as a 30– to 60-minute career conversation, mentoring, joining a career and professional development panel, or contributing a short story or quote for our website or newsletter. If you’re a University of Arizona alum, please join our engagement network by completing the Alumni Mentorship & Engagement Interest Form (or scan the QR code below) to indicate how you’d like to be involved.

GIDP Showcase and Luncheon drew large numbers!

We would like to extend a huge thanks to the nearly 220 people who joined us at this year's GIDP Research Showcase! There were about 55 posters and included participants from Graduate Interdisciplinary Programs as well as scholars affiliated with the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium. Our Showcase speaker was Monica Landgrave Serrano (photo below) (ALRS Alumna, 2024), the lead urban planner for the City of Tucson.

We also had a full house at the GIDP Student & Alumni Luncheon with 60 guests! Four GIDP alumnae discussed Choosing a Career Path. The panelists were Dr. M'Balia Thomas (SLATPHD 2014), Eileen Lawless (IIAMS 2025), Dr. Kiana Lee Martinez (GENEPHD 2021), and Krista Jacobson (ABS PSM 2017).
