     Conference Summary

The conference was great! I got asked several questions during my presentation and felt like I did really well. I also attended a great technical session that filled in several holes in my knowledge and pointed to further places to understand.  Another technical session that I attended was similar research to mine and I was able to see the directions other researchers have gone.

There were lots of networking opportunities as well.  I talked to many companies about potential jobs and was able to get all my questions answered.  My interview with Facebook went great, they plan to call me for a follow-up interview and then after that is the on-site interview.  I was also able to ask the recruiters a lot of questions about work at Facebook which really helped me understand what life would be like there.

I also allocated a little bit of time to visit the NASA space campus there in Houston as well as a Monster Jam event right next door to the Convention center.  Also I found that the train was cheaper than a flight and that was a great experience to travel on a train.
