Winner: Elizabeth Ann Specker
Elizabeth Specker, Senior Editor, is a Ph.D. candidate with a USE major/ Processes minor. She received her M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Ohio University after spending two years teaching EFL in Romania in the Peace Corps. Currently, she teaches English Composition in the Writing Program, is a graduate Coordinator in the University Writing Center, and teaches classes at the Center for English as a Second Language when possible. She is currently working on her dissertation which focuses on reading closed captioning and multimodality. Her other interests include discourse analysis, metaphor/metonymy and semiotics.
